Scaffold
A scaffold is defined as an elevated temporary work platform. It is a temporary platform where labor stands, moves and works. Usually for the exterior works of a building. Scroll down for the video which contains images and detail.

Types of Scaffold
There are three basic types of scaffolds:Supported scaffolds
1. Supported Scaffolds
2. Suspended Scaffolds
3. Other Scaffolds

Supported Scaffolds
Supported scaffolds, which consists of one or more platforms supported by rigid, load-bearing members, such as poles,legs, frames, outriggers, etc. Examples are shown in the video link at end.

Suspended Scaffolds
Suspended scaffolds, which are one or more platforms suspended by ropes or other nonrigid, overhead support. Examples are shown in the video link at end.

Other Scaffolds
Other scaffolds, principally manlifts, personnel hoists, etc., which are sometimes thought of as vehicles or machinery, but can be regarded as another type of supported scaffold.
